More about Onomatopoeia
These sounds are oral interpretations, of written explanations, of the sound of actions in comic books. Sounds of violence that are the result of conflict, conflict by the use of guns – bang bang.  Sounds that are made up words – a line of letters  - that represent a physical action but have no formal meaning.
There is a loss in translation between physical action, written interpretation, and reinterpretation. A loss in interpretation between written interpretation and drawing as narrative, drawing narrative as action and action as sound and sound as a description of intangibles with in space.
Who reads comics? Do the users really understand or decipher the letters? Comics have transformed into animations on TV and computer games. Comics are a consistent form of beginning and adult reading. Comic books are predominately fantasy. Comic books are escapism. Comic books are heroic. Comic books can shape the way people relate with their world. Comic books create communities. (I wonder what would happen if you communicated by the action letters only?)
I am trying to recreate something that is concrete but intangible– written words of actions, into an intangible sound base  - a reinterpretation an invocation of unreal physical and violent situations

Metal Hearts, Botox. numbering. Eternal youth, skin, mines, Prozac, mapping. Biological manipulation, sociology, antibiotics, media. Sequencing, manipulation and the beautification of disease. Mapping those pregnant moments essential to contemporary human life, my luscious segments of synthetic biomorphic imagery document the untenable, yet emotive experiences evident in science, society, art and the self today Her multimedia installations have been exhibited in major museums, and she has been an artist in residence at The Contemporary Arts Center in Atlanta and the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos.
Onomatopoeia
This is simply an exploration of written, sound actions  and technological disconnect.
